Summary

The Warehouse Associate will maintain inventory at the Camarillo warehouses. This will include receiving, issuing, packaging,

shipping, and organizing materials for maximum efficiency; and preparing material daily to support operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Under minimal to no supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:

  • Support inventory integrity by accurately identifying, receiving, labeling and identifying finished goods, sub-assemblies and stock items utilizing various methods.
  • Placing materials and supplies in stock, recording and scanning the traceability and location of inventory in ERP
  • Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on pick tickets and ensure traceability of materials to work orders
  • Ensure the stockroom and warehouse remain secure and access is limited to authorized personnel
  • Responsible for the movement of materials between warehouses with complete, documented traceability
  • Process cycle counts, identify and help resolve inventory discrepancies in the ERP system
  • Organization of chemicals and adhesives, ensuring that the shelf life of all materials is monitored and proactively identify expired material for proper disposal
  • Package and prepare materials and required documentation for shipment
  • Safely operate hand saw and various hand and power tools to assemble crates
  • Adhere to policies and procedures around system usage to ensure its effectiveness and accuracy
  • Support warehouse layout including organization of material locations and labeling for overall efficiency
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education and Experience

  • High School Degree or General Education Degree; or 2-4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid California Class C Driver’s License.

Required Skills:

  • Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply a general understanding to carry out detailed, written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with and solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Mathematical Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Other Abilities: Must be able to read and interrupt detailed blueprints, drawings, and work orders. Must have prior forklift experience. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Suite. Must have an understanding of packing, labeling and shipping standards. Must have experience using an ERP, with Quantum and Pentagon software a plus.

Physical Demands/ Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand 6 to 8 hours a day. Must be able to work with their hands, arms and be extremely accurate. Must be able to walk, sit, and stand on a regular basis. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Must be able to lift and/or move in excess of 40 pounds with assistance.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving high-speed machinery and mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. outside weather conditions, machine oils, metal fillings, acetone, paints, solvents, grease, cutting fluids, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock or vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
