This is truly a unique opportunity to work in a state of the art facility for a growing successful company that is a leader in the distribution industry.
The Distribution Center Outbound Supervisor will be directly responsible for developing and influencing all distribution production, shipping processes by applying strategic direction in the areas of quality, productivity, employee performance and supervision.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Mentor and Empower shift employees
- Plan and assign work and work schedules, train/cross-train employees; including interviewing, hiring, performance management and terminations.
- Responsible for maintaining quality and safety standards, improving productivity, and driving a culture of process improvement
- Prepare all reports and logs as required.
- Maintain the warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Operate and be proficient in the use of all warehouse equipment ie; pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, order pickers, and reach trucks.
- Participates in special projects as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree required (related work experience will be considered in lieu of formal degree)
- 2+ years recent distribution/warehouse supervisory experience
- Voice to Pick System experience
- Shipping and Order Selecting experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and reporting
- Superb verbal & written communications skills
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and follow-up skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and influence others
- Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced, diverse team environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications (e.g. Outlook, Excel and Word)
- Champion of People and Change Agent
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
