CONMED is looking for a Warehouse Manager to ensure the Distribution Center in Lithia Springs, GA is always running and constantly meeting the highest quality and regulatory standards.

As a Warehouse Manager, you will have the responsibility to plan, program, and supervise the activities of direct and indirect employees that are responsible for the shipping, receiving, and related support functions of all shifts. He or she will be responsible for inventory accuracy and inventory optimization. This person will report to the Distribution Senior Manager and all campus supervisors will report to him/her. This person will implement lean and six sigma projects and will be the lead for Operational Excellence for the site or campus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead warehouse and inventory operations aligned with daily site operational needs.
  • Confer with site leadership to coordinate activities within or between departments
  • Lead EH&S improvement efforts/projects, ensure compliance to guidelines and processes.
  • Develop & Implement Lean strategy for Warehouse and Inventory teams aligned with site vision to optimize inventory, lead time and waste.
  • Develop Value stream Map for Warehouse operations and eliminate Wastes
  • Coach, train and mentor team members and leadership on Lean thinking, 5S and Problem Solving.
  • Implement and drive Gemba Walk and daily management that drives cross functional focus and quickly solves impediments to flow.
  • Lead Kaizen activities in responsible areas and support others as needed, developing pull systems where flow is not possible, training personnel, and other activities to achieve world-class process flow.
  • improve processes so all goods receipts, moves & transactions are properly handled, WMS is aligned with Physical state of the goods on hand.
  • Ensure processes and KPIs in place to conduct physical stock audits and stock accuracy.
  • Meet warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
  • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
  • Support integration of Lean in warehouse processes for New Product Introductions (NPIs) to improve material flow.
  • Drive measurable improvements in lead time, customer delivery, productivity, inventory, and product flow.
  • Directs an ongoing educational effort to support the conceptual understanding and development of skills to achieve operational excellence.
  • Influences motivates, and coaches individuals across the site involved in operational excellence or continuous improvement objectives; mentors individuals to support them through the adoption of lean principles.
  • Drives improvement and cost savings projects.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong knowledge of logistics operations and industry.
  • Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable the company’s business goals and objectives with the ability to devise and implement a strategy to achieve targets.
  • Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
  • Strong and convincing communication skills.
  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising warehouse operations or a manufacturing environment OR bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of WMS, and Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel
