Warehouse Manager

Leading industry distributors based in Dublin 12 are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role oversees the day-to-day operations and staff of the warehouse, including the dispatch of all orders for wholesale customers, stock control, goods in and general cleaning/maintenance of the warehouse. This includes managing staff in receiving, warehousing and distribution operations.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for capacity planning, setting and reporting KPI's and the improvement in efficiencies through layout design, processes and investigating best practices for order dispatch and stock controls. Working as part of a dedicated team of 10, this role requires attention to detail with a mind for problem solving. This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Responsibilities:

• To assist and oversee all stock related tasks and issues such as stock taking, order distribution (picking, checking, and packing), receiving and checking inbound shipments, stock adjustments, stock locations, stock transfers, and packaging.
• Briefing the team each day to set goals, organise and encourage teamwork within the warehouse to ensure set productivity targets are met and dispatch errors are minimised
• Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse and surrounding areas by planning and inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repairs and completing requisitions for replacements.
• Forward planning for peak periods by managing and implementing the warehouse roster and ensure there are enough trained staff to meet workload demands
• Liaise with the purchasing department, sales teams, senior management on customer needs and other branch requirements.

Requirements:

· 5 years minimum experience in managing a warehouse with high product volume

· Computer literacy is a must

· Hands on approach

• High attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a proactive approach

· Forklift licence would be advantageous
