Job Overview

My client a retail wholesaler established in 1976, a 100% Irish Owned and operated family business is seeking a Senior Warehouse Manager to assist them with the running and management of their warehouse based in Ashbourne Co. Meath. The company has grown from strength to strength and as such has now opened 10 retail stores as well as continuing to expand their distribution centres.

The job will entail but is not limited to:
Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, by managing, organising and monitoring operational goals
Develop warehouse operational systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilisation and inventory management
Train and manage a warehouse team to drive day to day operational efficiency to reach both short and long-term performance goals
Have a strategic mindset on how the operations of the warehouse can consistently improve and assist the organisation maximise its growth objectives
Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity and efficiencies are met
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment

The successful candidate for this position will have previously worked as a warehouse manager in the FMCG sector, taking care of a small team with a great focus on development and improvement within the warehouse. You should have a hands-on approach when it comes to management and work in general and be willing to get stuck in when things are busy to ensure the job gets done. Previous health and safety experience would be a major advantage as well as a valid forklift licence.

This job is a full time 45hr per week permanent role with 5 out of 7 days to be worked and these could include late and weekend shifts as well depending on the business requirements. You will be required to work primarily out of their Ashbourne Facility however there will be a requirement to travel to the Kells branch especially during peak season.
