OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The main purpose of the position is to supervise the picking operation in the RDC, maintain agreed housekeeping standards & maintain the warehouse in accordance with Health and Safety law and regulation in a supervisory role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The role will require the candidate to:

• Supervising the picking operation in the RDC, ensuring efficiency KPI’s are met.
• To ensure all areas of the branch has an adequate level of customer and employee Health and Safety.
• Maintaining a high level of housekeeping in the RDC at all times.
• Preparing orders for despatch and ensuring materials are transported correctly.
• Assisting stock control and associated stock checks.
• Organising warehouse facilities.
• Driving forklift and stacking/racking new stock.
• Organize training/refreshers for direct reports.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

The role will require the candidate to have:

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a supervisory/leadership role.
• 2 years’ experience operating a forklift.
• Basic IT Skills including Word/Excel/PowerPoint & Outlook.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and time management skills.
• The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and a strong team player.
