About Our Job
Do you have experience working in a wastewater treatment facility plant? We have a supervisor opening who is responsible for directing and managing a team in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities. You have an opportunity to work in a new, projected completion in 2025, state-of-the-art membrane plant at the Bee Ridge Water Reclamation Facility. Job Description:
-
Assign, coordinate, and perform tasks as required for proper operation and maintenance of the treatment facility on a daily basis.

Schedule and perform necessary planned maintenance and emergency maintenance.

Create and schedule work orders.

Respond to emergency operational requirements.

Supervise daily job duties of plant operators and trainees assigned to treatment facilities.

Schedule work hours in accordance with operating permits and requirements of all appropriate managers.

Serve as a coach and evaluator for Treatment Plant Operator reviews.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of related experience (lead worker or acting in a supervisory capacity may be counted) .

OR - A two (2) year associate's degree and two (2) years of related experience.

OR - High School diploma and four (4) years of related experience.
-
Four (4) years of experience in the operation of wastewater treatment facilities.
-
Possession of Florida Certification as a Wastewater Treatment Plant "A" operator.
-
A Valid Florida driver's license at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Treatment-related chemistry, math, biology, and personnel management.
-
Safety training: Hazcon, Confined Spaces, Hearing Protection, Bloodborne Pathogens, Respirators, Workplace Violence, Lockout/Tagout. Fire Extinguishers, Personal Protective Equipment.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay Range: $24.54 - $29.81, depending on experience
Position Salary Range: $24.54 - $39.42
