The position of Water Treatment Assistant at LKQ Bellingham requires a person who can work independently and accomplish tasks in a timely manner with limited supervision.

The job schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm, with frequent Saturdays and overtime as required.

Job Duties

• Safe handling of chemicals and hazardous waste (PPE provided and must be used properly)
• Operating pumps and filter units
• Cleaning the inside of process tanks
• Test solutions for chemical concentration
• Training in the operation of the water treatment plant
• Update and maintain tank log
• Ensure tank labels are up-to-date and accurate
• Maintain tank schedule

Compensation: $20.00 per hour + you could be eligible for a retention bonus up to $1,200.00.

Physical Requirements

• Move up to 60+lbs
• Repeatedly stand, squat, bend, and lift for long periods of time

Required Skills

• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Ability to communicate with leads/management
• Basic math skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Situational flexibility

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Mechanical mindset and basic automotive knowledge preferred
