Our Castle Arch Hotel in Trim, which is part of the Cusack Hotel Group, made up of Knightsbrook Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort, Ardboyne Hotel & Newgrange Hotel, are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated Wedding & Events Manager.

This position is part of our Senior Management team.

Responsibilities include:

Wedding Enquiries

  • Take & record all enquiries for wedding
  • Follow up any enquiries taken when off duty.
  • Respond to queries & requests for quotes promptly
  • Send out brochures and information promptly
  • Meet and show around hotel & talk through options
  • Communicate above to relevant managers
  • Follow up enquiries (call after 10 days) & record responses
  • Monitor feedback
  • Report on above

Wedding Bookings

  • Take & input
  • Follow up any bookings taken while off duty
  • Follow up all bookings for deposits and menus etc
  • Confirm all details
  • Ensure bedroom allocations reserved.
  • Book any additional services or equipment agreed.
  • Make requests for any further deposits of information required
  • Meet and go through booking details with couple or do show around when required or arrange for Duty Manager to meet the couple instead.
  • Follow up any details passed over by Duty Manager
  • Ensure payments received and details of payment confirmed
  • Check all details taken when off duty up data is system
  • Follow up bridal couples for feedback after wedding. Report on same.
  • Banqueting/Conference/Debs/Party Enquiries
  • Take enquiry, send out any information required, quotes etc promptly
  • Liaise with relevant departments to get information if required e.g.: menus etc.
  • Follow up and monitor Prov/new bookings
  • Report on above

Banqueting/Conference/Party Bookings

  • Take, Input, follow up and confirm details where required.
  • Meet & show around client if required.
  • Book any av equipment or additional services.
  • Follow up shortly after event for feedback and offer dates for following year.

Security

  • Inform senior management of security requirements to ensure it is booked and confirmed for events.

Administration

  • Update & maintain files and booking systems
  • Update and maintain client/company profiles
  • Maintain relevant databases, collate and mail shots when required.
  • Carry out all activities required to ensure smooth running of office.

Sales

  • Identify and potential gaps and promotional ideas and bring to the attention of sales team or senior management.
  • Represent the hotel at any relevant bridal/consumer shows when required.
  • To be available for show rounds occasional weekends if required.

Miscellaneous

  • To ensure all guest queries are handled promptly
  • To promote Cusack Hotels where possible
  • To ensure existing business is maintained and new business is developed
  • To ensure all administration work is complete, follow up calls, research calls, rate contracts etc.
  • To communicate all negotiated rates to reservations, front office and accounts
  • To ensure credit procedures are followed in line with company policy
  • To train all new team members
  • To communicate all details agreed with clients to the relevant departments
  • To be fully aware of all Cusack Hotels standards and any special promotions, and rate programmes which we are involved in
  • To maximise our revenue at all times
  • To attend meetings as necessary
  • To provide support in other areas of the hotel as necessary
  • To carry out any reasonable request from senior manager
  • To efficiently and effectively control your departmental operation
  • To ensure Cusack Hotel standards are achieved at all times
  • To be aware of relevant competitor information and market changes to initiate changes to our services/rates as appropriate
  • Update & distribute all reports required.
  • Attend relevant daily, weekly and any other relevant meeting
  • Liaise with all relevant departments
  • Update relevant management & staff of last-minute changes/bookings.
  • Attend any relevant training when required.
  • Carry out any relevant training of new staff.
  • To maintain good liaisons and communications with management and all other heads of department
  • To ensure all accident and incidents are reported to the relevant people and to assist in providing all relevant backup.
  • To maintain own working area tidy and in good shape. To report defective materials and equipment to appropriate individual
  • To ensure a consistently high level of security is maintained throughout the Hotel
  • To be fully ware of the fire and emergency procedures within the Hotel
  • To comply with all health, safety and welfare statutory requirements

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Salary: €30,000.00-€35,000.00 per year
