Primary Responsibilities
Duties include student supervision, public service, security, and technical responsibilities in the St. Lawrence University libraries. Open and close Owen D. Young Library and Launders Science Library on weekends according to schedule. Responsible for specific circulation, periodical, and interlibrary loan tasks while supervising student workers and maintaining building safety and security. Assist patrons with research questions and schedule research consultations with librarians as appropriate. Special projects requiring organizational and technical skills will also be assigned. Must be able to work independently to cover weekend shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with extended hours during final exams. Part-time, 15-20 hours/week.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Two years previous work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree
- Library work experience
- Related experience with computer applications in libraries
