Perform all Yard Operations in relation to Intermodal tractors, trailers and containers.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Proper arrangement of ALL Intermodal Trailers and Containers in Albany Yard.
• Cleaning and Proper inspection of all equipment when dropped in Yard.
• Complete Inspection for Reefer Operation.
• Checking fuel levels and fueling Trailers/Containers when needed.
• Complete Mechanical Inspection of all Trailers/Containers when dropped.
• Cleaning of Intermodal Trailers and Containers outside to ensure proper presentation of equipment standards at Customers Facilities.
• Installation of straps in each Trailer/Container for proper staging for loading of equipment by drivers.
• Shuttling of Equipment between shops when necessary.
• Policing of Intermodal Area of yard and removal of Trash.
• Assist Intermodal Drivers as needed to ready equipment for loading.
• Act in cooperation with On Site DM’s for accurate Equipment availability to the Load Planner.
• Communicate all deficiencies with Division Equipment Manager in SLC to ensure repairs are made on a timely basis and cost effective.
• Perform Pre Trips on all Refrigeration Units when dropped in yard to keep available equipment levels at peak proficiency.
• Position hours vary.
• Weekends needed as Freight Volumes increase. Over time will be paid.
• Position Pay Scale $24.00-$28.00 per hour

Qualifications Include but are not limited to the following:

• Close Living approximation to the Albany, OR Yard
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Ability to operate under deadlines
• Ability to lift 50-70 Lbs. repeatedly
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
• Dependable transportation to and from Yard Site
• Ability to Climb in and out of Trailers/Containers to clean
• Assist Division Equipment Manager in on time performance of Tractor maintenance
• Assist and Direct Trans-Loads/Freight Re-Works when necessary for Over Weight Equipment.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

• Logistics: 1 year (Preferred)
