Greene Street Friends School is seeking a dynamic and visionary Lead Teacher in our 5th grade, for the 2023-2024 school year, with depth of experience and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

5th-grade teachers instruct a core curriculum of math, language arts, social studies, and life skills in a self-contained teaching environment. A candidate for this role will also seek to establish a strong, affirming classroom culture that embodies the School's Quaker values and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Other duties include writing student reports; collaborating with students, colleagues, and families; attending meetings; and fulfilling other faculty duties, such as recess and lunch supervision.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, exemplified in their instructional practice and in the cultivation of impactful relationships with students, families/caregivers, and colleagues. Through a set of holistic and innovative instructional practices, they will adapt their teaching to fit the needs of their students.
