Reporting directly to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Finance, the Accounting Associate will provide clerical and administrative support to the Athletic Business & Finance Department. Specific duties include processing
payments and travel, coordinating cell phone orders, picking up checks, providing back-up for departmental deposits, reconciling processed payments and performing other duties as assigned.
UMBC offers competitive compensation. This role starts at $39,232 and has 11 days of vacation as well as winter break, spring break, and personal days for regular full time roles. Tuition remission is also available.

Specific duties include:
- Administer all aspects of the P-Card Expense program
- Provide administrative support for Business & Finance Department
- Conducts internal fiscal audits, reconciliations and recommendation of P-Card operations for the Sr. Associate Athletic Director, Business & Finance
- Reconcile team and administrative expenses to University Peoplesoft accounting system
- Reconciling processed payments
- Performing other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Four years accounting clerical experience. Customer service experience and/or cash handling and payment processing experience.
Note: Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
