This role will split time between BROOKLYN, NY and MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ.

The AR Support Lead is part of the Shared Services Accounting team. The AR Lead is responsible for managing and maintaining the vendor and supplier relationships. This is a fast-paced / high-volume department, so this role will require a high level of proficiency and accuracy.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Will work independently and interact with departments, especially Sales, Pricing and Warehouse.
• Routes settlement review daily
• Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, pricing, shipping/warehouse, from customers and submits claims
• Participates in day to day accounting activities, such as; cash applications (ACH, Checks & Wires), prepares daily bank deposits, responding to customer and broker inquiries.
• Ensure customers are getting their statements,invoices sent to them timely (email, EDI, portal, etc.).
• Communicates regularly with Sales team on credit status of any overdue customers.

Education and experience:

• Associates degree or higher in finance or accounting
• 3 -5 years’ experience in a similar A/R role at a Wholesale Distribution company; DSD experience, chains and other AR areas required.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish strongly preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced skills in Excel (v look up and pivot table).
