About the role
What you need to know:
The role includes:
- Working as part of the Ireland legal team, and the wider EMEA legal team, while managing own matters with minimal supervision.
- Advising on all aspects of insurance distribution and consumer insurance legislation, including Central Bank rules and similar applicable regulation, guidance, policy wordings and customer documentation review.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial contracts, including intermediary agreements, distribution, outsourcing, supply, intellectual property and marketing agreements.
- An understanding and practical knowledge of data protection, employment law, and direct marketing.
- Attendance at meetings with distributors or business partners where legal arrangements or issues are to be reviewed and discussed.
- Providing advisory support to the business including the provision of technical and soft skills training to the Business teams, with a focus on developing legal and regulatory knowledge and awareness.
What we’re looking for:
Qualified Lawyer in the Ireland with at least 3 years PQE.
- Relevant experience in the financial services industry, including a solid working knowledge of the insurance regulatory framework.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills with very strong attention to detail and experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
- An ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced and international environment.
- Must have enthusiasm for becoming a business partner with a high commitment to customer service and legal compliance.
