The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in the overall leadership and supervision of the Shift Leaders and Crew Members. Key objectives are exceeding Guest metrics, creating an amazing experience, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Interacts with crew members, customers, and vendors using “Tropitude” (Tropitude is our “mojo” and what makes Tropical Smoothie Café fun and different. It means having energy and creating a positive atmosphere). Delivers “Unparalleled Hospitality” (above and beyond the customer’s expectation) a great experience that keeps the customer coming back. Knowledgeable and proficient in every position within the café. Ensures a high-quality product in a safe environment is delivered meeting Tropical Smoothie Café’s standards. Trains and coaches crew members during each shift to ensure brand standards are upheld. Uses tools to accomplish goals, manage labor and control food inventory. Performs any additional tasks necessary to run the café. Can lead a team in a positive, encouraging manner while exceeding company expectations.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Minimum of 1-year managerial experience. Valid driver’s license. Willing to undergo a background check during the interview process. Legally able to work within the State and Federal guidelines.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift. Bending, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice or taking out trash. Constant face-to-face interactions with crew members and customers. Safely navigate in a fast-paced café environment. Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions.WORKING CONDITIONS Most shifts are between six to eight hours, but this may vary. Crew Leaders can expect to have some early mornings, late evenings, weekend and/or holiday hours and may have additional opening/closing responsibilities. Lead Crew Members by demonstrating Tropical Smoothie Cafes core values in all interactions. Comply with the Tropical Smoothie Café uniform and personal hygiene polices for each shift. Fun, fast-paced, upbeat environment with no fryers

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• One or more years of restaurant experience, including progressive supervisory experience.
• Legally able to work within the State and Federal guidelines.
• Valid driver's license.
• Serv Safe Certified is required. Will need to pass test if not already certified.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift.
• Bending, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice or taking out trash.
• Constant face-to-face interactions with crew members and customers.
• Safely navigate in a fast-paced café environment.
• Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Most shifts are 8 hours, but this may vary.
• Café Managers can expect to have some early mornings, late evenings, weekend and/or holiday hours and will have additional opening/closing responsibilities.

Pay rate is negotiable.Will also have a bonus program.

Preferred

• 1+ years of experience in the food & restaurant industry
• At least high school diploma or equivalent or higher
• Food Service license/certification: ServSafe Manager Certification

• Available to work: weekends
• 18 years or older
• Own a personal vehicle
• Valid auto liability insurance
• Valid driver's license
• Background check
