You will be reporting to the Development Manager and working with discipline partners.
Location: Remote North America - open to most North America locations
The Maxis Studio of Electronic Arts is looking for an Audio Artist II, with a focus on and in the career track of Voice & Voice Performance, to join the audio team to help ship packs for The Sims 4.
Responsibilities:
- Edit, synchronize, and compose voice samples from recording sessions to compliment character animations
- Clean up voice samples such as unwanted mouth sounds or noise floors
- Implement voice samples in game
- Test, trouble-shoot, tune, and fix in-game bugs related to voice
- Receive and apply feedback provided by team members
- Create audio specifically designed for our unique brand
- Always looking for ways to improve audio process, tools and technology for voice
Qualifications:
- 3 years of voice editing on game projects or similar audio editing experience
- Experience delivering final quality audio; either from a brief or starting with placeholder sounds in software
- Proficiency with standard audio tools (DAW, plugins, RX) and studio tools (microphone, compressors)
- Voice editing experience with expertise in relevant software packages, such as ProTools, Logic Audio, and Sound Forge
- Proficiency with both PC and Mac platforms and comfort with learning custom tools
- Experience with Game Production and Design
- History of listening to and working with Voice Performance from the perspective of user experience
- Experience succeeding in a lively work environment
- History of having adaptability in a work environment, ensuring work on multiple projects simultaneously and handling changing priorities
- Bonus Qualification: Max/Msp skills
- Bonus Qualification: Engineering voice recording sessions
- Bonus Qualification: Cycling '74 Max programming skill/expertise
- Bonus Qualification: A fan of Maxis titles and what we bring to players
- Bonus Qualification: Music performance skills, vocals in particular

HOURLY PAY RANGES
- California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): $31 - $47
- New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo): $28 - $47
- New Jersey (depending on location e.g. Jersey City vs. Trenton): $28 - $47
- Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs): $28 - $42
- Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane): $28 - $42
The hourly rate is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
