About the Role

At Outmin, we believe in the power of small businesses powering our future economy and we want to empower small business owners to allow them to focus on their core business. As a Backend Engineer, you will work closely with the Product team and external development partners to deliver on the Outmin product roadmap. Our core platform is absolutely key to our success and is vital to our growth, your contribution will be deeply impactful and critical to Outmin’s future. Our core platform is Python/Django, which supports a number of integrations, with both internal and external systems, and you’ll be rapidly evolving the platform to enable more machine learning capabilities and more integrations.

What You'll Do

• Work with the product team to deliver features that will delight our Clients
• Maintain test infrastructure so that new work can be transitioned from development to production seamlessly
• Ensure the tech platform is reliable, scalable, secure, and performant
• Triage and resolve issues arising from either our Clients or internal team on automated monitoring systems

What We’re Looking For

Required Skills

• Desire to learn and improve as you deliver a rock-solid platform for our customers
• Self-starter, with the ability to scope, design, and implement robust well-considered technical solutions
• 3+ years of experience working with Python/Django
• 2+ years experience working with test automation (BDD, TDD)
• 1+ years experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience working in an early-stage rapidly-growing SaaS business
• Experience working with an agile product team
  

Nice to Have

• 2+ years experience of working with accountancy or finance systems
• 1+ years experience working with payment systems (e.g. Stripe, GoCardless)
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or equivalent field
• Knowledge of ML technologies and techniques
