Job description
Corporate:

EHS
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment
- Meets company safety goals
Technical:
- Coordinate benefits activities such as renewals, enrollments, terminations, COBRA, disability, life claims, QDROs, QMCSOs, distributions, and rollovers.
- Research, recommend, and implement benefits programs to attract and retain employees, while controlling costs.
- Design and distribute materials for enrollment, and compliance communications and submissions.
- Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files and records, maintain group benefits database, and the processing of monthly invoices.
- Evaluate, ensure compliance with, and provide consultation on leave-related issues. Escalate concerns as appropriate.
- Manage the leave administration process from employees’ initial notice of the need for leave to the employee’s return to work. Gather and ensure completion of required paperwork, including medical certifications, determine leave eligibility, designate or deny leaves as appropriate, recertify leaves, and track and account for leave time used.
- Provide appropriate and required leave information to employees, verbally and in writing. Advice employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, worker’s compensation, and short-term and long-term disability benefits.
- Engage employee in the interactive process to identify and select reasonable accommodations allowing the employee to continue performing the normal, essential functions of their job.
- Collaborate with HR team and department management to determine and implement reasonable accommodations.
- Ensure appropriate documentation Document all aspects of interaction with the employee, local HR Representative and management in the system of record to ensure proper reporting, review, and compliance.
- Maintain and apply current relevant knowledge of applicable benefit, leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, HIPPA, COBRA, ERISA, etc. and state and local laws.
- Maintain complete and accurate records. Handle all information with the utmost professionalism and confidentiality to ensure compliance and privacy.
- Comply with and promote company practices and policies in all areas including Safety, Standards of Conduct, Quality, Performance, and Communication.
- Be flexible in work to support continuous improvement activities that will ensure personal and company growth.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in HR, with a proven focus on employee benefits and various leaves programs.
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of employment law, including FMLA, ADA, USERRA, COBRA, HIPPA, OSHA, ERISA
Software Skills Required
- High proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experienced with ADP (Workforce Now) and SAP preferred
- Demonstrated skills in database maintenance and record keeping
- Strong knowledge of HRIS
- Human Resources experience in Manufacturing is helpful, but not required.
