Who We Need
The Bookkeeper supports the organization by performing day to day accounting activities. Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Finance, the Bookkeeper will also be responsible for basic administrative duties for the finance team as well as cross-functional duties where finance activities overlap.

- Technologically Savvy. You’re proficient in the use of computer software, including QuickBooks, and have experience with data management & analysis software.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Accounting Activities (80%):
- Run payroll & record payroll activity
- Handle Accounts Payable: Maintain vendor records, code and enter bills and expense reimbursements in bill.com, make bank transfers, research and resolve vendor invoice and payment issues.
- Handle Accounts Receivable: create invoices, process incoming payments, resolve collection issues, research payment issues.
- Data entry into spreadsheets and bookkeeping software
- Prepare financial statements & reports
- Monitor bank balances
- Record financial transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Assist with audit and tax preparation
- Check accounting records for accuracy and notify senior staff of any accounting errors
- Other day-to-day finance activities as needed
Administrative Support (10%):
- Meeting scheduling and coordination
- Maintain a system for organizing company documents
- Coordinate ad hoc finance requests
- Manage tasks on finance related projects
Cross-Functional Administrative Support (10%):
- Support operations with purchase order requests and vendor/subcontractor management
- Support human resources with benefits administration
What You’ll Bring
- Proficient in QuickBooks
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
- Experience in Paylocity is a plus (Payroll & Benefits)
- Proficient with Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), reconciliations, payroll, invoicing, and preparing reports
- Excellent data entry skills
- Love for numbers
- Solution oriented
- Computer savvy
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- The ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and change direction quickly
- Comfortable with implementing new policies and procedures and refining systems as necessary
