POSITION SUMMARY

The Evernorth Enterprise Operations Analytics (EOA) organization offers solutions that provide actionable insights to internal and external business partners and customers that help reduce health costs, improve outcomes, provide financial security and measure and forecast business performance.

The Business Analytics Advisor position is a hands-on analytical role that supports the Customer Pillar within Cigna Operations. The Business Analytics Advisor role will work collaboratively with our business stakeholders and leaders in the Customer Pillar to provide partnership in analytics, developing analytics solutions and leveraging analytical and technological capabilities.

This role will work collaboratively with our business stakeholders in the Contact Center and Workforce Management operational teams to provide partnership in analytics, developing analytics solutions, leveraging data science and technologic capabilities and embedding analytics driven processes. This role will work with an innovative team on setting and executing the vision for how analytics can lead Cigna to achieving our growth goals. An ideal candidate will lead in projects centered on reporting, data visualization, dimensional modeling, and data management to ensure the success of our planning and operations organizations.

Primary Functions
Ability to understand and solve Business Analytics assignments/projects.
Perform complex analytics processes, including data and analytic development.
Partner with business or with other teams to understand analytical need and how these will impact the growth of the organization.
Use data and analytics to suggest areas of improvement or growth to the business.
Focus on providing thought leadership within Business Analytics and broader projects, which require understanding of wider business.
Exercise considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives.
Maintain analytics skillset through understanding new technologies, modeling techniques, and the ability to execute and apply to work
Exhibit full understanding of data and leverage data in an appropriate way (correct sources, clear assumptions, approved by business)

Key Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Econometrics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Data Science or related curriculum preferred.
5+ years’ industry experience solving business problems through the application of analytic approaches.
Demonstrated experience in relationship engagement and management in order to design data insights that help the business address challenges associated with their work.
Required experience in SQL; SQL Server, Teradata and Oracle preferred.
Required experience and proficiency in Tableau or other data visualization software.
Required understanding and experience with root cause analysis.
Demonstrated experience collaborating on projects; preferred experience collaborating in a virtual environment.
Use relevant technology/software to wrangle data, analyze, and visualize for consumption.
Demonstrated work experience applying a combination of analytical, technical and business acumen in complex problems solving.
Absolute requirement to work well with team and others remotely through effective communication.
The ideal candidate would be have strong critical thinking skills and strong communication (oral and written), facilitation, and presentation skills.
Preferred familiarity with statistical analysis and related software – i.e., R, Python, SPSS, SAS, Stata or similar

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 94,300 - 157,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
