Newark Manor Nursing Home is seeking a Full Time, front office Business Office Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate will be cheerful, engaging, and demonstrate exemplary customer service to our families, residents, and vendors!
Qualifications:
- Associates degree preferred but not required
- Previous experience in an administrative assistant capacity
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
- Must have experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook for calendar management and meeting notices
- Must have knowledge of drafting a formal business letter and ability to self-proofread
- Multiline phone system experience
- Strong organizational skills required
- Must understand electronic file management and directories
- Must be detail oriented
- Billing experience a plus.
Job Functions:
- Answer phones and greet visitors politely and knowledgably
- Assist Administrator in all duties as assigned, particularly filing, organizing invoices and receipts, drafting memos, preparing mailings, and organizing.
- Assist Social Work in preparing materials for marketing and admissions/discharges of residents
- Act as a liaison and support to department heads and other staff as requested
- Assist Unit Secretary as requested
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and talk and listen. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job require close vision.

Pay: $13.20 - $23.74 per hour
