The Division of Enterprise Services (DES), Bureau of Information Technology Services (BITS), Technical Operations and Security (TOS) Section at DHS is recruiting to fill an Access Management Administrator vacancy. This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position. This position is located at the downtown Madison office at 1 W. Wilson Street and offers a combination of in-office and remote work.

This position will work a schedule within these days and times: Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 5:00pm.

LTE employment with the State of Wisconsin:

  • LTE positions are not civil service classified positions, do not give any rights to a permanent civil service classified position and do not lead to permanent status.
  • Wisconsin residency is required for LTE positions.
  • No more than 1039 hours may be worked in a 12-month year.

Position Summary

  • This position functions as an Access Management Administrator for the Access and Identity Management Services (AIMS) team within the TOS Section. The AIMS team provides account and data permissions for Agency Customers and Partners needing access to various technology environments and associated data.
  • Technologies include, but are not limited to, Directory Services (Enterprise and Agency), File Systems, Enterprise Mainframe, Client Server Applications, .Net Applications, Web Applications and Enterprise Email (Microsoft Exchange) along with various others.
  • This position provides consulting and execution in the areas of account/data access, application access and database access, file system access, provisioning, and methods to deliver secure access to Agency IT systems; and involves researching, using, and supporting new technologies to improve delivery of BITS/AIMS services.

Salary Information


The starting pay is between $29-$38 per hour depending on qualifications. This position is classified as an Information Systems Technical Services Specialist and is in pay schedule and range 07-33.

Job Details

  • All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
  • All state employees are required to report their COVID vaccination status, whether they are vaccinated or not, and must provide supporting documentation if vaccinated. Newly hired employees will be required to submit this information within their first two weeks of employment.
  • DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.
  • Employees must have access to secure high-speed internet for remote work option. Mileage reimbursement to the employee’s headquarter location is not provided. Remote work flexibility will be discussed in more detail during the interview process.

Qualifications


Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:

  • Experience provisioning user accounts and permissions to systems, data, and other information.
  • Experience troubleshooting account provisioning issues with customers.
  • Experience developing and updating technical process documentation.

Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:

  • Experience working with security principles such as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), least privilege, or Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
  • Experience provisioning within IBM Resource Access Control Facility (RACF).
  • Education, training, or experience working with Directory Services, File Systems, Enterprise Mainframe, Client Server Applications, .Net Applications, and Web Applications
  • Training or experience working with the Client Assistance for Re-Employment and Economic Support (CARES) system
