OVERVIEW

Position Title:

Children and Youth Ministries Cooridnator (Part-time | 20-25 hours per week, including Sundays)

Principle Function and Objectives:

The Children and Youth Ministries cooridnator is responsible for assisting the maintenance, alignment, growth, and execution of all children and youth ministries of the Young People’s Division. Under the leadership of the Diecor fo Children and Youth, the Cordinator will work in conjunction with the Director. Whereas the Associate Pastor will give direct leadership to elements of alignment and growth and the Division Chair to maintenance, the Director will lead elements of execution. dthe Coordinator will assist.

Accountability:

The Coordinator will report to the following position:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Christian Education:

The coordinator will assist in developing, promoting, and implementing a comprehensive Christian Education program that will inspire and disciple children and their families. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Recruiting, training, coordinating, and supervising staff/volunteers for all areas of children and youth Sunday School

- Organizing and planning children and youth worship experiences

- Working with other children/youth ministry leaders to ensure continuity among Christian Education Programs

- Sending correspondence to students and parents as needed

Administration:

The administrative responsibilities of the Director include, but are not limited to:

- Formulating annual budgets for all nursery, children, and youth programming.

- Overseeing the planning and coordination of all children and youth programs and seminars (i.e. VBS, camps, etc.)

- Communicating and consulting with teachers, students, and parents regarding children and youth ministries

- Selecting and evaluating children and youth ministry personnel

- Coordinating childcare for church-wide meetings/events

- Other duties/special projects as determined by management

- Attending staff meetings

INITIAL FOCUS AREAS

Digital Content and Engagement

- Creating content and programming to highlight ministry in the digital age that engages children and youth.

- Developing an online ministry community suitable for families with children.

Sunday School (YPD Christian Education)

- Structure

Children and Youth Programming

- Partnering with the Director, Associate Pastor and Division Chair on creating ministry programming.

Compensation $18,250.00 per year, part-time

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18,250.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Education:

• Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:
