Your Future. Built Smarter. IMEG Corp., one of the largest design consulting firms in the U.S., is currently seeking a Civil Designer in our Gurnee IL office. As a Civil Designer, you will be responsible for:
- Responsible for supervised design of simple drawings using computer software, spreadsheets and hand calculations;
- Verify the project meets scope and code requirements;
- Maintain and provide project design documentation for permanent record files;
- Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines whose services may be requested;
- Recognizes potential project problems quickly and seeks advice of the Project Manager;
- Calculate dimensional requirements, costs, and time schedules budgeted for personnel involved and coordinate work on the project;
- Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement;
- Responsible for supervised design of simple drawings using computer software, spreadsheets and hand calculations;
- Understanding materials and methods
Qualified candidates should possess the following skills, education, and experience:
- Associate degree in CAD or Engineering Technology Or a Minimum of 4 years of experience or combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD Civil 3D software
- Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
