JOB TITLE: Certified Nursing Assistant / Nursing Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Agency is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA-Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Assistant to join our team of Home Care Professionals. As a CNA/NA, your primary focus will be to provide general nursing and support care to our impaired clientele. The qualified CNA/NA must be an enthusiastic, compassionate, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and committed to delivering the highest quality of care.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Assist with ADL ( Activities of Daily Living) such as prep and serving meals, ROM exercises and assist with turning and ambulating patients

● Assist with clients personal care such as: oral hygiene, bathing, dressing etc.

● Change bed linens, laundry and other light chores services such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and washing dishes

● Run errands and grocery shopping

● Accompany client to doctors appointments and errands

● Engage in mandatory in-service education programs

● Motivate clients to engage in social and recreational activities

● Assist with self-administered medications by reminding patients to take them at the prescribed time(s) and/or follow up to ensure they are taken properly

● Comply with HIPAA Privacy Act by protecting confidential patient information

● Abide by professional standards, follow policies and procedures as well as federal state and local requirements, and Joint Commission standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS FOR THE JOB:

● Minimum of 6 months to a year of caregiving/CNA experience

● Valid state-approved CNA license required

● Valid State-Approved Nurse Aide Certificate

● Must have a reliable transportation

● If transporting a client, you must have a Valid State of HI driver’s

● Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy

● Able to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively

● High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations in a calm demeanor

● Must pass the criminal background check

● Meet all state requirements for CNAs

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
