CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST - - Los Angeles, Hybrid Schedule



WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Corporate Communications Specialist is responsible for executing internal/external communications strategies and projects that help to promote City National Bank's brand reputation and growth. The Specialist is responsible for developing, proposing, writing and editing content for a wide array of communications that promote the company's brand reputation, business development strategies, and thought leadership.


Marketing Product and Digital Division

As a member of our Marketing, Product and Digital team, you will have an exceptional opportunity to help grow your career while driving change across many facets of the business. The team is passionately focused on building our brand, supporting banking products and finding innovative ways to engage and retain clients.


WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Develops and executes internal + external communication projects and programs such as content development for infoLink NEWS, Tell Kelly, press releases, etc.
  • Conducts research and develops communication strategies
  • Supports and manages team processes (such as internal email processes), administrative tasks, calendar management, metrics reporting
  • All other appropriate duties as required


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience writing and copy-editing skills, proofreading, Journalism, editing, AP Style or equivalent
  • Minimum 4+ years corporate communications


Skills and Knowledge

  • BA/BS degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field preferred
  • Finance/banking background preferred
  • Journalism, editing, AP Style, business background a plus
  • Excellent writing and copy-editing skills required
  • Must be able to provide high attention to detail
  • Knowledge and proficiency in social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Must possess an interpersonal style that enables effective relationships with peers and senior executives in the execution of job responsibilities
  • Strong background in corporate communications, business writing, media relations and digital communications
  • Must be capable of working well independently and in teams
Compensation
Starting base salary: $78,970 - $126,140 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
