Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with strong organizational skills and a passion for communication as a Customer Reference Coordinator / Specialist within our cloud-based software business unit serving global manufacturing industries.
The candidate will report to the Manager, Customer and Corporate Communications, and act as the intersection between the sales, marketing, and customer support teams for reference activities. This position is responsible for our customer reference loyalty program that provides timely and relevant sales, marketing, and analyst references. They will help identify and create impactful customer stories and content in support of sales and marketing activities. The individual will manage our customer reference database in Salesforce with a focus on quality management, data visualization, and reporting.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills for engaging with customers, be proficient in process development and analytics, and have a passion for building as we grow our customer reference loyalty program. The position has the unique opportunity to develop deep expertise on our customer base, markets, and products, as well as expand relationship management, strategic thinking, and data analysis skills.
Essential Functions:
- Curate and grow a strong community of reference customers to support selling and marketing effort.
- Manage the reference request process, tracking reference activity and outcomes.
- Work closely with sales, customer support, and product teams to maintain accurate and in-depth customer account records.
- Identify potential customer success stories from the customer reference loyalty program to build out sales and marketing content.
- Create content of various types (written stories, testimonial videos, presentation slides, etc.) based on our customers’ experiences and successes.
- Engage in high-touch, mutually beneficial reference relationships with our customers.
- Execute strategies to encourage customers to engage with the customer reference loyalty program and share their stories.
- Elevate the customer reference loyalty program by researching and incorporating best practices and benchmarking.
- Drive awareness and participation in the customer reference loyalty program with sales teams including training and enablement.
- Ensure the utilization of reference customer relationships, related content, and interactions positively impact sales and marketing activity.
- Help define customer reference metrics/goals/benchmarks and track/report progress against them.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or Marketing
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required- we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, not now or in the future, for this job opening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Typically requires 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Understanding of how to build impactful, mutually beneficial relationships with customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Good writing skills with a keen interest in content and story development
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Salesforce or other CRM system skills
- Project Management experience a plus
