The Direct Support Professional: - As a Direct Support Professional you will be responsible for assisting clients in daily activities in our Day Program, transporting participants to and from the program as well as participating in community outings Core Responsibilities:

• DSP will provide direct care while supporting the social needs of the participants receiving services.

• Transport participants to and from Day Program and act as an aide when required • Performs other duties as assigned

• Driving Agency vehicle is required for this position.

• Must be able to secure participants who use wheelchairs • Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds, bend, push wheelchairs, provide physical intervention as necessary, and be able to life and/ or transfer people.

• Establish a secure, positive relationship that nurtures clients to feel comfortable expressing their needs. • Monitor and maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment • Provide individualized care for clients in accordance with their tasks • Encourage client's independent decision-making, productivity, and participation in a range of activities.

• Maintain knowledge of each resident's limitations and requirements.

• Communicate resident's progress with service providers as outlined.

• Complete and maintain documentation in compliance with company procedures. Qualifications • High School diploma or GED • Driver's License (Required)

• Must be at least 21 years of age, with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience, and a valid driver's license issued by the state of residence. There can be no state-issued restrictions on the licenses that would impede the driver's ability to operate the vehicle as required by the Agency. Must have a clean driving record or there must be no more than two (2) points on driving record

• CMT Certification (Required) • DSP experience: 2 years (Preferred
