Job Summary:
The Electro-Mechanical Technician 2 is accountable for carrying out everyday troubleshooting and preventive or predictive maintenance. This worker functions as a subordinate material handling technician on all installed equipment at a particular site. The job is for the night shift, which begins at 7:00 pm and ends at 7:00 am. The candidate must clear the TSA Federal background check.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), which includes belt tracking, component adjustment or replacement, lubrication of components, etc.
- Execute preventive maintenance procedures, documentation, and routines.
- Generate and finalize work orders in the asset management system with the appropriate data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
- Resolve basic conveyance issues and be aware of the resources to address any problems.
- Track and locate spare parts from inventory.
- Address semi-complex service calls and rectify equipment failures and faults.
- Detect problems as they arise and take necessary steps to resolve them.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Requirements:
- The candidate must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically, vocational-technical training is preferred.
- Capable of carrying or moving material weighing up to 50 pounds each.
- Regularly bend, lift, stretch, and reach both below the waist and above the head.
- Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
- Functional dexterity in both hands and wrists.
- Ability to safely climb ladders and gangways without any restrictions.
- Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes or odors, hot or cold temperatures, inside or outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.
- The candidate must be able to stand or walk for up to 10-12 hours.
- Flexible to work on multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.
