Hegira Health, Inc. (HHI), a private non-profit corporation, is one of the largest freestanding behavioral healthcare agencies in the area. HHI, accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the State of Michigan, provides a broad array of mental health and substance abuse treatment and prevention services to individuals of all ages.

The Fleet Specialist is responsible for assisting in maintaining all Hegira Health owned vehicles for daily and business use, in a good, clean, dependable operating condition. The work schedule is Monday through Friday 9am - 1pm with flexibility. The Fleet Specialist will coordinate activity in all Hegira Health locations: Canton, Lincoln Park, Livonia, Taylor, Westland.

FLEET SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with a Motor Vehicle Report of less than 6 points
• Knowledge of vehicle mechanics
• Three or more years in automotive/fleet management in a company setting
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Onboard new vehicles which includes attaching plates, making sure insurance cards and registrations are in the vehicles, etc.
• Schedule on-going preventative maintenance.
• Address unforeseen repairs to make sure vehicle is operational.
• Vehicle diagnosing.
• Perform minor vehicle repairs where appropriate.
• Coordinate maintenance repairs with staff and vendors.
• Record and maintain vehicle inspection and maintenance detail electronically i.e., Excel.
• Pick up and drop off vehicles at various locations as needed.
• Communicate with insurance company to coordinate vehicle repairs.
• Process invoices for payments.
