Ornua is a dairy co-operative which sells dairy products on behalf of its Members, Ireland’s dairy processors and, in turn, Irish dairy farmers. It is Ireland’s largest exporter of Irish dairy products, exporting to 110 countries worldwide. The Group is structured across two divisions: Ornua Foods and Ornua Ingredients.

Ornua Foods is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands including Kerrygold, Dubliner, Pilgrims Choice, Kerrygold, Avantage, Forto, and BEO. Markets are served by production facilities and in-market sales and marketing teams in Africa, Asia, Germany, Ireland, the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East, and the US.

Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products and for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers across the world. Ornua Ingredients is also responsible for managing volatility through de-risking and trading strategies. The business is supported by production facilities in Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, the US and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.

The role :
An opportunity now exists for a Global Change Lead, a Senior Leadership Team role on Project Evolve – The Ornua Business Transformation Programme. The successful candidate will have responsibility for all change management, change readiness and sustainment components of the programme, with a particular focus on the change associated with site by site deployment of our global core processes and systems.

Key Areas of Responsibility :
Provides best practice leadership to the Transformation Programme on Change Management and Business Readiness. Owns the Transformation Change Methodology and ensures its ongoing application and continuous improvement in line with Transformation roll out. Develops key milestones and detailed plans for Change initiatives, including Communications, Training and Business Readiness plans. Works with the Head of Business Transformation, the Business Implementation Lead and local Site Change Lead, to create and manage the Change Management plan, report statuses, and manage issues and risks. Builds strong relationships with all key stakeholders: Business Process Owners, Site Lead, Superusers on site, Evolve programme team, HR colleagues. Leads Change Management workshops and documents outputs and actions. Designs and delivers appropriate leading through change and team development interventions. Defines business communications and stakeholder engagement activities, collaborating with the Ornua Group Communications team. Works in partnership with site Change Leads, monitors site-readiness and provides solutions to ensure smooth implementation of new Operating Model from a people and change perspective. Supports, develops and coaches local people managers in relation to their approach and consideration of change issues, ensuring that they understand the impact of these on the individual and the business. Collaborates and contributes strongly as a member of the Evolve Senior Leadership Team.

Key Skills & Requirements :
10 + years’ experience in Change Management, Communications and Training. Demonstrated successful leadership experience on large scale Transformation / System implementation programs. Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to quickly interpret key stakeholders objectives and convert them into achievable and timely actions. Highly collaborative outlook, with the personal skills to bring people on a change journey. Enjoys problem solving and is comfortable dealing with challenges which require cross-functional collaboration and influencing. Expert communicator, with the ability to deliver customised, focused messaging to all levels of an organisation. Comfortable both with hands-on working (e.g. leading workshops, developing plans, excel tracking) and strategic leadership (e.g. presenting to senior business teams, persuading and influencing key stakeholders) Positive outlook, and passionate about delivering business benefits through customer orientated operating model design. Strong project management skills and ability to work independently. Willingness to undertake travel as necessary in line with site-by-site deployment plan where geographies include: UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany and the US.
