Role of Member Communications Assistant:
The role of the Member Communications Assistant is to assist with the internal communication between the club and its members by the form of digital and print correspondence. This position assists in expertly marketing the club to members, their spouses, and their respective businesses through event collateral and branding to encourage new and continued use of the club.
Responsible for:
Administrative duties:
- Write and maintain website content.
- Newsletter design to be distributed 4 times a year.
- Printing menus and place cards for member events.
- Production of event menus, place cards, name tags, table numbers, programs, favors & tangible products.
- Assist with bespoke invitation design and mailings for members’ events.
- RSVP services for member events.
- Procure all club event information (including menu, wine, and event details) and communicate it to all internal departments.
- Update and distribute weekly club event calendar.
- Assists in the planning and execution of club-sponsored events as needed.
- Assists the Director of Communication and Design and Assistant Manager as needed.
- Subtly but assertively market the club to assistants, spouses, and others.
- Developing ways to increase member interest and excitement about events.
- Assist Administrative Assistant with answering calls, filing, and other general administrative duties.
Prerequisites:Background:
- 2-3 years of marketing/hospitality experience in a high-end hospitality atmosphere is preferred
- Proficient in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
Personal Characteristics:
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to develop, create, and implement logistical systems
- Polished and poised in appearance
- Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability and willingness to work long hours, holidays and weekends as needed
- Must be polite and well-spoken, possess excellent customer service skills
- Must be highly motivated with the ability to work independently or with a team

- Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess independent mobility throughout the club.
- Successful function of this position requires employee to lift 50 lbs without struggle and be physically capable to work on their feet for long hours at a stretch.
