Heavy Equipment Operator/Delivery Driver - Framingham MA, Groton, MA Compost Facility

Black Earth Compost is the leading full service compost company in New England. We have grown extensively in the past several years expanding from one site in Manchester by the Sea to two additional sites in Groton and Framingham and more sites in the near future. We take in food scraps from households and businesses that we collect in our trucks and turn it into rich, finished compost; this is where you come in.

We are a fast growing company looking for an Equipment Operator/Delivery Driver for our sites in Framingham and Groton MA. We are looking for someone who is reliable and aligns with our mission to divert food waste from landfills and to turn it into a source of fertility. Growth within is what we are all about and there are plenty of opportunities to grow with us.

This role would require splitting time between our Framingham site and our Groton site. The responsibilities of the role involve operating a Caterpillar 938/908 sized front end loader, excavators, skid steers, and a Doppstadt Screener. Equipment operators would use the machinery at either site to produce finished compost that we can then sell to farms, garden centers and home owners to grow food and improve plant health. During delivery season in the Fall and Spring/early Summer responsibilities will also include delivering finished compost in our non-CDL dump trucks approximately 2 days a week . We will train you on the equipment and pay for your MA hoisting license if you don't have it already.

- Regional Manager - Operate mainly out of one site but support the 3-4 other sites in your area to aid in site development.

Your diverse range of skill sets may be sufficient. Even though mechanical knowledge is a plus, in general we tend to hire out for mechanic work and have been buying newer equipment to avoid breakdowns. We DIY where it has the most impact. Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
