ABOUT THE JOB:

The mission of our Human Resources team is to cultivate Danone’s unique culture and help the business sustainably grow. We have an opening for a HR Coordinator in our West Jordan, Utah manufacturing facility. The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the plant's HR team which supports the daily operations of the Danone West Jordan manufacturing facility, with approximately 300 employees. This position requires excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.


Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Managing front desk reception area including: greeting plant visitors/contractors/temps, fielding and routing incoming calls, and filing.
  • Managing the contractor/vendor/visitor safety program.
  • Hourly recruiting and position fill: Assisting in the hiring and onboarding process, including scheduling interviews, processing new hire paperwork and scheduling/coordination of the new hire orientation program.
  • Perform administrative duties to include filing, faxing, copying, as well as preparing reports and Power Point presentations for meetings
  • Assist plant HR with administrative tasks, related to new hires or employees exiting the organization, as well as assisting with the annual benefits enrollment program
  • Order office and cleaning supplies for the site
  • Identify and implement improvements in processes, systems, applications and procedures
  • Assist with Computer Based Training (CBT's) for Human Resources, Quality Assurance and Safety tracking and delivery
  • Actively participates in all assigned cross-functional team or project-based initiatives
  • Design and support plant wide events
  • Coordinating, scheduling and performing duties such as record keeping, coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies and working on special projects
  • Supporting Human Resources in managing/scheduling/maintaining calendar, meeting coordination (confirming availability, booking rooms, setting up teleconference or video conference capability, ordering food, etc.)
  • Designing general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc.
  • Managing temporary employee program, and building/maintaining relationships with staffing agencies
  • Create internal communication
  • Serve as first of point contact for most HR questions and provide first level support to and act as a central contact for employees

About you

ABOUT YOU:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in HR or Business related discipline or equivalent amount of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • You have 2-3 years of previous administrative experience
  • You have strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). Previous database management experience, a plus.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with a wide range of clients, individually and in groups
  • You have the ability to serve as a change agent who is able to "make it happen" while building positive relationships on a foundation of trust and mutual respect
  • You have established self-management skills. Must be a self-starter who brings leadership, organization, ambition, and the ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly, while meeting deadlines, maintaining control, focus, attention to detail and professionalism in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • You have the ability to rapidly assess, analyze, and resolve problems with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.
