Position Title: Intern

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Overview:

KBRA Europe is seeking talented individuals to join our internship program, hosted from June through August 2023. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to gain firsthand experience into the life of a credit rating agency analyst and to learn valuable skills coveted in any corporate setting. This internship will be based out of our Dublin office. The application deadline is 1 February, 2023.

As an intern, you will:

• Provide general analytical support for KBRA's credit analysts.
• Prepare internal and external presentations and reports in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Develop spreadsheets and analytical materials to support the ratings process.
• Evaluate financial statements to forecast future company performance.
• Contribute to project and research support, including work on ESG (environmental, social & governance) initiatives.
• Be exposed to senior level industry experts.
• Assist our support departments with ad hoc tasks

You will have exposure to one or more of the following departments based out of our Dublin and London offices:

• Asset Backed Securities (ABS)
• Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS)
• Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS)
• Structured Credit/CLOs
• Project Finance
• Corporates
• Financial Institutions
• Sovereigns
• Funds

About You

You excel in a fast-paced, intellectual, and friendly environment. You have a natural analytical aptitude towards problem solving and don't mind rolling up your sleeves to get the work done.

Required Key Skills/Expertise:

• Undergraduate concentration in finance, economics, accounting, or math.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong appetite for knowledge, especially in data and finance.
• Strong Excel skills. You must be able to easily manipulate and format large data sets.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as work closely with partners in a collaborative environment.
