POSITION SUMMARY:

• We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our team on a full-time basis at our Hardware Depot in Millersville, MD. In this role, you will be responsible for processing trouble tickets, imaging and encrypting devices, shipping items, receiving bulk shipments of IT equipment, and performing laptop repairs. Additionally, you will be expected to work on a flexible schedule, coordinate with UPS for pickups, and maintain a clean and organized warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience with IT hardware and software and a strong attention to detail.

JOB DISCRIPTION:

• Process trouble tickets and coordinate with the SSA Help Desk to troubleshoot or resolve issues
• Follow published procedures for imaging and encrypting devices while maintaining a near error-free standard
• Image, encrypt, and test laptops, tablets, and workstations for shipping to end users anywhere in the world
• Ship items via UPS and weigh all items prior to shipping, coordinating with UPS for pickups as needed
• Receive bulk shipments of IT equipment from 3rd party vendors and move large pallets off tractor trailers to various locations in the warehouse
• Perform laptop repairs by following training and procedures for diagnosing and repairing laptops
• Work on a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring that all equipment is stored properly

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE:

• One (1) – two (2) years of experience in an IT support role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
• Familiarity with imaging and encrypting devices
• Experience with QuickBase and CAPRs is a plus
• Basic computer repair skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
