Summary:
The Java Software Engineering Manager supervises an assigned team in the development and maintenance of specific applications or functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assigns staff to the specific projects for which the team is responsible and ensures that team members are appropriately trained for completion of job duties.
• Determines user needs, establishes priorities, and plans, directs and monitors work.
• Establishes and maintains project methodology.
• Evaluates project status and recommends changes to improve efficiency.
• Ensures that deadlines and budgets are met.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years leading others in the development of software in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in following tech stacktraces:

• Java Spring boot
• Splunk or equivalent log aggregator
• Dyntrace
• Experience using cloud platforms and developing apps that are cloud native
• Experience developing REST APIs

• Work well in a team environment.
• Ability to take on issues and bring them to completion making sure a consistent delivery process is followed.
• Self-motivated and able to lead others.
• Able to work well under pressure when required
• Available for on-call production support as needed
• Experience in TCH Real Time Payments or any money movement platforms
• Experience in rewriting a legacy platform and migrating large applications (10MM$ per day and above)
• Building apps that are available 24*7*365
