PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

2+ years Microbiological Lab Experience in regulated product (food, cosmetic, drug, device) manufacturing setting.

Demonstrated proficiency with data analysis software, and/or industry-standard systems such as EtQ and SAP and LIM.

Environmental Microbiological Monitoring

1) Conduct routine microbiological testing and analysis (per documented procedures) on baby wipes and wet wipes finished product for on-time release of the product.

2) Record data and communicate OOS as needed.

3) Conduct routine microbiological analysis and testing (per documented procedures) on monitoring sampling program (production materials, environmental samples such as air, production surfaces and personnel testing, water), and specialized sample as required for troubleshooting or as part of an improvement project.

4) Conduct sanitization verifications and hygiene practices.

5) Accountable to receive and store laboratory inventory.

6) Accountable to make laboratory reagents and media used for microbiological testing.

7) Accountable for Micro Team testing of finished product, raw materials, semi-finished products, environmental monitoring (laboratory and manufacturing), and trial samples.

8) Supports Micro Lab test methods transfer, validations, and equipment qualifications, as needed.

9) Accountable for GLP and Good Documentation Practice.

10) Track, trend, and communicate microbiological data on time, and in a fashion that compels action.

11) Supports Microbiologists during investigations of non-conformances.

12) Function as the back-up for the Microbiologist as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in biology, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline, with at least 1 year of industrial microbiology lab or sanitarian experience – including food/dairy, cosmetic/OTC drug, pharmaceutical, medical device.

Understanding of Good Lab Practices and environmental monitoring.

Proficient Microsoft-based computer skills to complete reports and provide updates.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
