Post Summary:
The Library of Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin is now accepting applications for a permanent full-time / term-time Library Assistant position. The successful candidate will be capable of the physical demands of retrieving books and journals from a very large collection of approximately 3 million volumes, and their re-shelving after use.
The post holder will be part of the team responsible for the delivery of a book-stack service from the Santry Books Repository to Reading Rooms. The post-holder will report to the Santry Bookstacks Supervisor. The appointee will have the ability to work quickly, efficiently and to the highest levels of accuracy in a busy environment. S/he will be competent in the use of IT as the post is varied and includes a range of clerical activities and use of various office applications.
Post status: Permanent **Contract (**full-time / term-time 35 hours per week x 33 weeks per year)
Hours of Post: 35 hours per week
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Library Assistant Salary Scale (€24,477 - €40,256) per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
