Job description

We are looking for a Line/Prep Cook that is hard-working, honest, and communicative in a diverse environment. A line Cook should be able to prepare food using recipes and menu items created by the Head Chef and helps keep the kitchen running smoothly. Some of the Line Cook duties and responsibilities include:

Ensuring that kitchen staff adhere to quality, hygiene and cleanliness standards

• Staying up-to-date with culinary trends and kitchen processes
• Dealing with suppliers and ensuring that they supply quality goods at affordable prices
• Managing the inventory and ordering stock as needed
• Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen equipment and organising repairs when needed
• Handling staff issues, such as sick leave and attendance, and taking disciplinary action when necessary
• Ensuring that guests receive excellent service and enjoy their culinary experience
• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks
• Plating prepared foods based on senior chef’s guidance
• Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
