Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform most machine alignments
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• May direct and control the prioritization of the maintenance department
• Order parts and materials for machine maintenance
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Collect Hazardous wastes from department operations.
• Label Containers of Hazardous waste upon accumulation into a container with the appropriate labels and warnings.
• Move Hazardous waste to the storage area using proper handling equipment and procedures.

Required Skills:

• Strong trouble-shooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics and technical manuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to train and mentor all new hires
• Full understanding of assembly and electrical drawings
• Mechanical and Technical SME

Experience & Education

• High school diploma/GED
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
• 6-10 years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
