Responsibilities

The LMS Manager oversees day-to-day management, utilization, and delivery of Tower Health's learning management system, which supports about 16,000 users.
  • Provides instructional technology support, maintenance, problem solving, and configuration to all areas across Tower Health.
  • Serves as subject matter expert regarding LMS administration best practices. Possesses a deep understanding of all components, features and functions of the LMS, current instructional technology, and online learning technologies.
  • Provides timely and efficient troubleshooting assistance to end users by investigating all of the questions/issues related to the LMS and associated systems and take appropriate action for resolution.
  • Collaborates with necessary departments and organizations for support of end users.
  • Provides support to developers across all areas of their job within the LMS.
  • Provides training for LMS administrators and users of the LMS across Tower Health.
  • Produces training documents and job aids to assist all users and user types. Evaluates effectiveness of LMS training sessions for all users.
  • Develops, Redevelops, and implements training, courses, classes, presentations, and materials as needed.
  • Generates, analyzes and establishes metrics to improve LMS usage and utilization.
  • Develops and deploys evaluations to measure training effectiveness and learning.
  • Creates specifications for standard reports and produces reports for all levels of users at Tower Health.
  • Supports management in creating specific reports on instructional technology and online learning usage.
  • Works with all related parties across the organization to ensure that the LMS is being fully utilized to assist with all reporting and compliance needs.
  • Advocates the continuous improvement of user experience and the online systems in which Tower Health utilize.
  • Analyzes and updates existing processes and suggests improvements.
  • Tests the system, courses, and their components to assure reliability/availability.
  • Views and monitors all support incidents in area of responsibility, proactive knowledge sharing and serves as liaison between users, vendors and technical groups to resolve issues. Submits and tracks system bugs/application issues to assure prompt resolution by our vendor's support team in a timely fashion.
  • Maintains LMS database integrity by implementing and enforcing standard procedures and practices to ensure consistent and well-integrated database infrastructure. Works with appropriate departments and teams to maintain these systems.
  • Manages the relationship between the LMS vendor and Tower Health.

Qualifications


  • High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Relevant experience in an LMS role is required, ideally in a healthcare environment. Experience in an LMS role using Cornerstone or HealthStream is a plus.
  • LMS auditing experience, instructional design experience, and video editing experience are helpful.
  • Strong Project Management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate well with team members and build relationships at all levels across the organization.
