We are seeking a National Brand FP&A Sr. Manager to join our team in Richmond, VA. The National Brand FP&A Sr. Manager provides financial insights and support to the National Brands teams and leads a team of analysts.
Position Description
The National Brand FP&A Sr. Manager provides financial insights and support to the National Brands teams. This role is responsible for directing the development of plan, forecast, budget, and reporting business results. The role will report to the Sr. Director Finance-PSSP and will collaborate with cross-functional business partners. The role will manage a team of senior analysts/manager in order to provide complex analysis, make recommendations, investigate issues and drive resolution while building and maintaining the necessary tools to deliver executive presentations highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
In addition, this role will perform business case modeling, and track strategic initiatives as needed by leadership, and lead continuous process improvements.
This role supports multiple PSSP VPs across multiple product categories; strong communication and presentation skills will be necessary to support multiple internal customers. The Sr. Manager will partner cross-functionally in order to influence and support better financial outcomes. This individual will identify projects to drive revenue/buyside growth and optimize profitability. This role will be challenged to seek, propose, and drive process improvements across its areas of responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and direct team of analysts/manager in Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting activities for NB PSSP team, including:
- Own budget procedures, create timeline/manage process to ensure timely submittal
- Review, understand variance analysis against forecasts and budgets
- Lead periodic budgets and plans (e.g. LRP, AOP, other)
- Lead periodic financial forecasts
Support business partners and PSSP teams and provide effective financial recommendations
- Own business partner team meeting/relationship management with VP/ELT
- Discuss business trends and future direction of the business including developing and supporting strategic initiatives to drive growth and optimize profitability
Direct development of month-end deliverables to support the PSSP
- Review and optimize standard management and executive level reporting
- Assess vendor and product mix profitability
- Provide financial insight and recommendations and business performance updates
Lead, manage, and develop team of analysts/manager
- Drive internal meetings to improve communication and execution of deliverables
- Provide feedback and performance reviews to team
- Attend training and development activities
- Maintain procedures and SOPs
Minimum Requirements
Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.
Critical Skills
- Strong experience with financial concepts, practices, and tools
- Proven success in building effective business partnerships at the senior level
- Strong ability to influence and provide strategic recommendations to senior level leadership
- Executive level presentation skills
- Demonstrated success with leading and developing a team
- Advance Excel and PowerPoint

- Strong critical thinking skills with ability to challenge conventional approaches and offer alternative solutions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex service environment

Education
Degree or equivalent experience. MBA preferred in finance or related field or equivalent experience.

Our Base Pay Range for this position
