Job Description:
Must-have skills:
1. Netezza database administration on Unix / Linux
- Years of experience: At least recent 3 years.
In this role you will develop, implement and support IT infrastructure & platform strategies for our client. Designs, builds / installs, tests, maintains, monitors, and upgrades data platform infrastructure such as IBM Netezza appliances, computing platforms, servers, and networks. Ensures that systems and infrastructure align with business value and are technically sound and well-integrated. Responds immediately to critical issues. On call and/or shift duty may be required.
- Experience in Netezza Database Administration required. (IBM Pure Data Analytics 11.2x & IBM Performance Server 11.2.1.x).
- Experience with Cloud Pak for Data/RedHat OpenShift
- Experiences with Netezza upgrade or migration
- Solid knowledge of physical database design, capacity planning, security planning, backup and recovery systems, operating systems, data modeling, query language
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain Netezza databases - Mako, Hammerhead.
- Solid knowledge of the OS (Linux)
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $10.36 - $57.60 per hour
