We are looking for a passionate Licensed Massage Therapist with a strong pain and movement background and understanding of or interest in performing arts.

My practice in midtown Manhattan is expanding! We are looking for a LMT who wants to work with performing artists. This position is part-time as an independent contractor in the clinic, with future options to assist with backstage and on-site at studios and companies.

My clinic practice caters to performing artists from the professional to the novice and all their health and wellness needs as an artistic athlete. This is an out-of-network practice, but we do take New York Worker's Compensation on a case-by-case basis. The emphasis of treatment is not just on returning to baseline, but actively preventing injury and becoming a better, smarter performer in the future.

We also treat and train the general population who a have pain syndromes, stress-related conditions, and hypermobility/EDS. We are hoping to integrate more holistic approaches by including massage therapy in our practice so that our patients and clients can invest in their health and wellness, not just avoid or rehab injuries.

You will also have the opportunity to work alongside practitioners from other practices in the space, including acupuncturists, massage therapists, other PTs, coaches, energy healers, and Pilates teachers. There will be opportunities for teaching workshops, backstage and on-site treatment, and participating in injury prevention screens, if these are of interest to you.

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour

Experience:

• orthopedics/sports: 2 years (Preferred)
• TMJ/Vocal Massage: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• NY Massage Therapy License (Required)
