Job Description:
Metas Solutions has an immediate opening for an experienced Portfolio Governance Manager located in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Governance Specialist on our Portfolio Management (PPM) Governance team, you will provide oversight and guide a consistent implementation of a government software development life cycle (SDLC) governance process in accordance with the HHS/CDC Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) governance process. This includes assisting with tailoring projects, project management documentation, and refining templates for other HHS/CDC EPLC deliverables. It also includes assisting with scheduling the HHS/CDC EPLC Stage Gate Reviews (SGRs) with the project business owners, project managers, and Governance Council stakeholders based upon established dollar thresholds of projects. During SGR execution, the candidate will evaluate documentation for compliance checks, ensure project artifacts are distributed to relevant Critical Partners (CPs), facilitate SGR meetings, and oversee the consolidation and distribution of the related CP comments. Governance includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating the administration and execution of the HHS/CDC Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) governance process.to include all SGRs
- Drafting and applying updates to Governance documentation
- Supporting and participating in the SGR processes
- Uploading deliverables and SGR products to the SharePoint portal
- Preparing and facilitating status meetings related to SGR process
- Facilitating lessons-learned meetings to identify improvement opportunities
- Advising business owners regarding system monitoring
- Collecting system performance data
- Ensuring the timely reporting of project cost and schedule metrics
- Executing the development of the Operational Analysis
- Monitoring and tracking Operational Analysis development and completion
Required Skills:

Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience supporting federal government project management and governance activities
- Strong familiarity with the HHS Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) and project types for tailoring
- PMP Certification preferred
- Agile, Scrum, or SAFe Certification desired
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) (Degree in business or management preferred)
- 3 or more years' experience in Project Manager role
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance
- Ability to articulate issues and concepts both verbally and in written form
- Proficient in Project Management software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint
- Excellent attention to detail
