The South Western School District Food Services department is seeking qualified, hard working, enthusiastic, and friendly candidates for the available Prep Cook position(s). This is a 9-month PT time position
with benefits. Working hours will equal 4 to 5 hours/day between 7:00 am to 2:30 pm (varying), Monday-Friday. The Prep Cook assists in the preparation of meals, serving of meals, and cleaning up the cafeteria and kitchen, and assists the head cook with all areas of the food services program. Minimum qualifications include: High school diploma or equivalent; Basic math skills; ServSafe certification preferred; Prior cooking and preparation experience preferred; Ability to hear with 40 decibel loss maximum and see with acuity of 20 inches or less and far acuity of at least 20 feet normal depth perception; Ability to reach above and below the waist; Walk and use fingers to pick, feel, and grasp objects and use of both hands for repetitive motion; Bending and twisting of the body required; Lift and carry objects weighing no more than 50 lbs; Ability to stand 90% of the workday.
