PDQ Staffing is seeking and experienced 2nd shift Production Lead. Please read the qualifications below to ensure you meet all requirements prior to inquiring / applying.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
2. Able to read and write legibly.
3. Basic computer skills
4. Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs.
5. Complete knowledge of shop mathematics, work in process, and finished product.
6. Able to work on own initiative without immediate supervision.
7. Able to read blueprints, shop drawings, sketches, and work from verbal instructions.
8. Possess welding and general shop experience.
9. Ability to walk and stand for all of the work shift.
10. Able to work overtime as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to the following:

1. Monitor, exercise, and encourage good housekeeping.
2. Interface with technical areas for assistance.
3. Responsible for quality, accuracy of production and workflow.
4. Schedule and use manpower to ensure on time delivery.
5. Performs production work as needed.
6. Check the status of work orders through the area.
7. Instruct and train other shop personnel in work processes.
8. Monitor reject material and complete the appropriate paperwork.
9. Adherence to quality standards to ensure quality product leaves the Service Center.
10. Prepare required miscellaneous reports.
11. Operate equipment and does set-up of tools, dies, fixtures, and machinery as required.
12. Strict adherence to safety practices.
13. Occasionally open and/or close the shop.
14. Willing and able to perform all work and operate all production equipment.
15. Exercise good leadership skills.
16. Assist the Service Center Manager as needed.
17. Work frequently with the following equipment.
18. Small tools – tape measure, square, caliper, gauges, wrenches, testing equipment and scales
19. Power tools – saber saws, drill motors, tapping guns, grinders, sanders, and die grinders.
20. Forklift, hand truck, and power ox (certification required – training and testing provided if needed)
21. Computer and/or other office equipment.
