Responsibilities:
  • NRM Road Inspector (RI)
    This position will assist and support the NRM / Natural Resource Management project across the PG&E system with GIS Mapping, new roads, and training in NRM and PG&E processes.
    Tasks shall include, but not be limited to, the following types of activities:
  • Familiar w/ PG&E processes and databases.
  • Identify road conditions and scope work needed for safe access
  • Road construction knowledge
  • Able to hike and traverse steep, rugged terrain
  • Drive for extended periods of time
  • Ability to drive, navigate rugged off-road terrain, use 4-wheel drive
  • Able to make sensible decisions based on available information.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in computer-based applications i.e., Microsoft Office, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, etc
  • Willing to travel throughout PG&E Territory up to 100%.
  • Ability to communicate and relay vital information effectively.
  • Actively participate in Team meetings
  • Work with PG&E and its Contractors
Requirements:
  • Degree in forestry or related field and/or experience in utility line clearance
  • Species identification skills and invasive species knowledge, plus knowledge of tree growth rates
  • Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months upon job offer
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent customer service skills a priority
  • Proficient in map navigation skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and data collection software (GIS experience a plus)
